Trust Foundation hassuccessfully completed four years of its
activities
towards encouragement of medical education, The B. Braun Medical Trust Foundation continued its tradition of celebrating merit & honouring excellence by felicitating scholars for 2006, in four major metros. It was also evident from the feedback received from doctors all over the country that The B. Braun Medical Trust Foundation is a leader in recognizing the merit & talent of upcoming medical professionals in the country.
Although the Alumni Meet has been a customary practice, the Award Ceremony was first of its kind since the inception of the Foundation.
Scholars from all over the country gathered at Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Calcutta to accept their scholarships and interact with other alumnus.
The events got a positive response in each city , not only from our scholars, who were very appreciative of the encouragement they received from B. Braun, but also from other esteemed doctors of the industry.
The B. Braun Medical Trust Foundation Award Ceremony & Alumni Meet, 2006 flagged off from Kolkata on 15th September at the Peerless Inn. Mr. Anand Apte, General Manager – Hospital Care, presided over the event and awarded the scholarships to students and their representatives from the East Zone. It was also an opportunity for our staff in Kolkata to interact with the beneficiaries and alumni.
The award ceremony in Chennai saw a good response of the scholars from the South Zone. Besides Chennai, beneficiaries came from places like Tirupati, Hyderabad, Pondicherry and Vellore, on the 20th September at ITC Park Sheraton & Towers.
Mr. Sinan Eserman, Director – Aesculap, officiated over the event and welcomed the scholars & their families. The evening proceeded with an audio-visual congratulating all our scholars on their achievements. Dr. Ajit Mullasari, Sr. Consultant & Head of Department – Adult Cardiology Division [Institute of CVS Diseases] was also present He is an active member of the Advisory Committee that is instrumental in the selection process of the scholars. Dr. Mullasari expressed his pride in being associated with the B. Braun Medical Trust Foundation and mentioned that B. Braun is a pioneer in recognizing future talented professionals of the medical industry.
The evening of 4th October saw the beneficiaries from Mumbai gathered at the ITC Grand Central, a five star hotel for the B. Braun Medical Trust Foundation Award Ceremony & Alumni Meet, 2006. Mr. Anand Apte represented Mr. Ananda K. Naidu, MD B. Braun Medical [I] Pvt Ltd.
to award the scholarships. Some of our beneficiaries like Dr. Pankaj M. Joshi from Nair Hospital and Dr. Guru Prasad Shetty from Lilavati Hospital spoke on behalf of all the scholars and thanked the Foundation for providing them with an opportunity to interact and meet up with the other scholars.
Our Advisory Committee Members [ACM’s] namely Dr. Laud – leading Orthopedic Surgeon Shushrusha Hospital, Dr. Satish Kulkarni Consultant Anesthetist – Lilavati Hospital, Dr. Bhagwati - Director of Neurosurgery, Bombay Hospital, Dr. Bansal - Professor & HOD, Cardiology, Grant Medical College were present as guests of honour and applauded B. Braun’s effort in encouraging excellence in medical education and giving them a platform to mingle with stalwarts of the industry. The initiative was also appreciated by Dr. Shilpa Rao & Dr. Shilotri – Professors of General Surgery from Nair Hospital, who graced the occasion with their presence.
The B. Braun Medical Trust Foundation Award Ceremony & Alumni Meet, 2006 was held in Delhi on 7th October at Hotel Radisson. The presence of Mr. Ananda K. Naidu, MD, B. Braun India & Mr. Hitendra Joshi, Director – North & SAARC Markets elevated the spirit of the occasion.
Our ACM, Dr. R.C. Agrawal commended BBMTF’s pioneering steps towards recognizing future leaders in his or her chosen field of medical service. Mr. Hitendra Joshi welcomed the scholars and their families and also conferred the scholarships. Interacting with the beneficiaries and the ACM”s was a fine opportunity to take in their valued suggestions. The scholars also expressed their gratitude towards the Foundation for recognizing their talent and honoring excellence with scholarships. Here’s wishing our scholars a successful future and hope that they continue a long running association with the BBMTF family!
