Role of the Advisory Committee
 

The Advisory Committee Members – a group of 20+ academicians/ professionals from across the country representing the fields of Anaesthesia, Medicine, Cardiology, Nephrology and Surgery will award the 50 (fifty) postgraduate students annually in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and potential for success in postgraduate medical study. The term for the Advisory Committee Members will be for a period of 3 years and can be extended by one more term on recommendation by 5 or more members of the Advisory Committee.

 

To facilitate the smooth operations of the Advisory Committee activities an Executive Committee comprising of 3 to 5 members will be nominated on a yearly basis from the Advisory Committee Members; who will review and evaluate all applications received by the 31st July, 2007 deadline.

 

Short listed candidates advancing from the preliminary application review are then evaluated by the Advisory Committee Members to decide on the final list of beneficiaries.

 
The Executive Committee will be responsible to shortlist the number of applications and forward the following number of candidates to be considered by the Advisory Committee for final selection of the beneficiaries:

  •  Medicine
20 applications
  •   Cardiology
10 applications
  •  Nephrology
10 applications
  •  Orthopedic Surgery
10 applications
  •  Neuro-Surgery
10 applications
  •  Cardiac Surgery
8 applications
  •  General Surgery
8 applications
  •  Gastro Surgery
