The selection of the candidates will be conducted
on a uniform scoring system based the following parameters: -
Marks obtained in the MBBS examination* (Total of 20 points)
Marks obtained in the entrance examination to Post Graduation
Course* (Total of 20 points)
Publications in reputed Journals (Total of 20 points) with
5 points per publication and a maximum of 20 points.
Presentation of case studies in National/ Zonal Level Congresses
(Total of 20 points) with 5 points per presentation and a maximum
of 20 points.
Awards or similar recognitions earned from the university/
college (Total of 10 points)
Topic of thesis planned (Total of 10 points)
(* Based on the percentile marks of the applications received)
Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must be Indian citizens.
Candidates must be second-year students pursuing a degree
course from a recognized university in India in the fields of
Anaesthesia, Medicine, Cardiology, Nephrology, Orthopedic Surgery,
Neuro-Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, General Surgery and Gastro Surgery.
The candidates must pursue and complete their degree course
to be eligible for a complete year of scholarship.
The candidates must have a history of an uninterrupted course
of study without failure in medical education.
To ensure that uniform opportunity is available to
each region*, there shall be a ceiling of 15 scholarships per region
Applicants must be
citizens of India at the time of applying for the B. Braun Medical
Trust Foundation. The Application Forms (hard copies) will be
available at the offices of all major recognized medical colleges
in India during the period of December to March
The Head of the Department
or Dean or Principal of the college must endorse each application/
applicant or the same shall be considered incomplete and the application
will be cancelled.
All applications for
the B. Braun Medical Trust Foundation should reach its offices
in Mumbai, India by the 31st July, 2007 and the selected candidates
will be announced individually by the end of August and the scholarship
grants will commence from the month of September.
Every application must
be accompanied with a CQ/ Demand Draft of a non-returnable amount
of INR 100.00 (Rupees one hundred only) in favor of the B. Braun
Medical Trust Foundation, payable in Mumbai.
